About Us
The name, Well Crafted, was inspired by the OG well water we used in home brewing. Today we condition our water to make the best brews for you!
On draft are craft beers brewed at both locations on our seven barrel system in Lansdale and ten barrel system in Ambler, PA.
The taprooms have 10+ drafts, cocktails, wines, light fare, entertainment, and open air seating (Ambler). We are excited to share our craft with you!
Well Crafted Beer Company began in 1999 when five friends met at RIT, a nerdy tech college in upstate New York. Go Tigers!
After graduating, we started professional lives and families and by 2005 moved to suburban Philadelphia.
By 2007, drinking and talking beer evolved into homebrewing in the Head Brewer's, garage. It became a weekend ritual to experiment with hops, malts, and yeasts to create different beer styles using a few pots, pans, and Bayou burners.
While mixing recipes, we discovered the impact the water source has on the brewing process. Rick studied and tweaked his well water and a bunch of other ingredients. Friends and family were enjoying the brews and the vision of opening a brewery began!
By 2018, Well Crafted opened our first brewpub at 310 Madison Street, Lansdale, PA 19446 in the center of Lansdale, steps from the SEPTA train station.
In April of 2022, we expanded with a second brewery and taproom in Ambler Yards at Building 19, 300 Brookside Ave, Ambler, PA 19002.
